Yesterday, after weeks of seemingly harmless warnings, my laptop that I can't stand to not have, died in front of me. For a short time, I'd been getting these errors when booting up stating that the system memory has changed, then it would give me the option to continue or go into set up utility.
Occasionally, it would say that the RAM installed was a 200 DDR and the computer only supports 266 DDR which is crazy as I hadn't (at that point) even found out where the RAM was located. Then, on my lunch break, when booting up, it froze while the tray icons were still loading. I forced a restart and it booted, but after about 2+ minutes, it flickered and restarted again. I'm a bit fuzzy as to the exact order of events from here on out, but I do know that I had shut the lid to catch a few moments of sleep, and when I went to open the lid and continue, it wouldn't come back to life. Since then, it's been pretty dead, with a few moments of hope as it might start to boot, but not really. Any ideas???? |
