The new Droid cell phone from Motorola

The phone can be summed up in one word… “Holy Cow”! Ok, maybe that was two, how about, “Way Bithin’”! Well, you get the point.

Ok, it’s my first smart phone but I’ve had my iPod Touch for some time and other than internet access any time (and any apps that required it), I’m pretty sure that I have a good idea what the iPhone would be like. Along with a close friend who has the iPhone, we both determined that the Droid is so comparable, that we agree that neither can really be considered better than the other.

Now there’s Facebook?

As if my addiction to NBSR isn’t enough, now I’ve been introduced to Facebook. Sure I’ve found some old elementary and high school friends, but there’s so much other ridiculous stuff going on that it’s easy to get lose focus. The quizes, the games, and the ads that are conveniently placed to look like part of the current task (be it a quiz or game). Read more »

What’s Next Racing

http://www.whatsnextracing.net/

What’s next Racing is a project a friend started just recently and it’s something that I’m very excited about being a part of. The idea scope is still in the works but it’s already big. What’s Next Racing is currently a placeholder for an initiative in progress. What’s Next believes that Superbike Racing is the coolest sport on the planet, and is looking for opportunities to increase visibility to the sport, it’s heroes and supporters. Read more »

Aging. Sucks big time!

On the week of May 2nd/3rd, I went to Fernley Nevada with f ew friends with the intention to do nothing more than drink, shoot guns, and ride dirt bikes (not necessarily in that order). I was so excited about going away that I “over did it” in the partying area. Read more »

Stress from the oddest places

Today is Thursday April 30th and on May 9th, I’ve gotten together a bunch of riders for our annual NBSR track day with Zoom Zoom at Thunderhill. Well a bit ago a fellow rider who has been down with a broken leg offered me a set of “whicked” race slicks for a really low price. low enough that I have questioned the offer a couple of times because I feel bad taking them at that price.

Yesterday I had the tires mounted. Even though there was a concerning “event” while mounting them I realized that my excitement about finally having some GOOD tires for the track Read more »

One Uncle I don’t need.

For the first time in my life, I’ve had to do my taxes, or more accurately, taxes for the household. My grandmother has done the taxes for the whole family since before I was in the work force. I’ve been blissfully ignorant to the whole tax thing and the stress, time, and headaches that surround the whole ordeal. Recently she has been having some issues that is suddenly having her forced into retirement, and at 80 years of age, she deserves the time off. Read more »

Easter 2009

Well, it’s been pretty eventfull even before the family gets here. Tyler jumped off the couch, tripped over the laptop cord, knocked the camera off the table and a soup cup of coffee went flying on to the carpet. So out came the punishments and the carpet cleaner. Of coarse, you can’t just do one area…. Read more »

Dependancy at it’s finest

Ok, I hang out over there at www.NorthBaySportRiders.com forum a bit much, but it really is a home away from home. It’s been down since sometime Saturday and I’m feeling the state of confusion online. It can usually occupy my time, catching up on the day’s posts, smiling, laughing, and getting irritated from Sam’s post after post of nothingness that I, at one time, may have done myself.

Anyway, it’s late and I usually don’t have much to say so why should this be any different. :)

More side work

Well, finally the side work has been picking up again. I’ve been helping out with the computers at 2 Rock Dog Kennel  as well as finshing up websites for www.MarinCarService.com and www.MarinInsurance.net. I picked up a editing gig for a “was” one-page site that will be a total redo soon. This site is www.ChesLimo.com and I’m still working on www.RPPSOA.com as updates come in. The cool thing about this job is I’m also a forum admin for a discussion board that I have made and placed behind a username and password protected area. Read more »

3 week vacation over Xmas into the new year

As many of you figured out, Joann, the boys, and my mom and step dad all went on a cruise to Hawaii. It was my first time to the islands as I’ve never really had a desire to go. We drove down to S. Cal Tuesday December 23rd staying at the Double Tree where they offered free long term parking for the cruises. On the 24th we got shuttled to the port where we boarded the ship. The itinerary consisted of 4 days at sea, 4 days at ports on the islands, 4 days at sea, a day at Ensenada, then back to Long Beach the next day on January 7th.
